Publication Ethics
Al Amanah: Journal of Islamic Education is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. All parties involved in the publication process — authors, editors, peer reviewers, and the publisher — are expected to adhere to ethical standards and practices. This statement is based on the guidelines from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
1. Duties of Authors

Authors must present original research that is accurate and transparent.

Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable. All sources must be properly cited.

Authors must ensure that the manuscript has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere.

Any form of data fabrication or falsification is strictly prohibited.

All co-authors must have significantly contributed to the work and agree to the submitted version.

Authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that could influence the research.
2. Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for deciding which articles are suitable for publication.

Editorial decisions must be based on the paper’s academic merit and relevance to the journal’s scope.

Editors must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and publisher.

Editors should act promptly and transparently in handling ethical complaints or conflicts.
3. Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers should provide objective and constructive feedback in a timely manner.

Reviewers must respect the confidentiality of the manuscript.

Reviewers should identify any relevant published work that is not yet cited by the authors.

Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and decline to review if necessary.
4. Publisher’s Responsibilities

The publisher is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the publication process.

The publisher will take reasonable steps to identify and prevent the publication of papers where research misconduct has occurred.

In cases of suspected or proven misconduct, the publisher will support corrections, retractions, or other necessary actions.
