Author Guidelines

Authors who wish to submit articles to Al Amanah: Journal of Islamic Education are expected to follow the guidelines below:

1. General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original works, have never been published before, and are not currently under review by another journal.

  • Articles can be written in either Indonesian or English with proper language use.

  • Manuscripts must align with the journal’s focus and scope, namely Education and Islamic Education.

  • All manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process.

2. Types of Articles

  • Research articles

  • Conceptual or theoretical reviews

  • Literature reviews

  • Case studies

3. Article Structure

Manuscripts should be organized as follows:

a. Title

  • Maximum of 15 words, clearly and concisely reflecting the content of the article.

b. Author Name(s) and Affiliation

  • Full name without academic titles.

  • Institutional affiliation and corresponding email address.

c. Abstract

  • Written in both Indonesian and English.

  • 150–250 words summarizing objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.

  • Include 3–5 keywords.

d. Introduction

  • Explain the background, problem statement, objectives, and significance of the study.

e. Literature Review

  • Present relevant theories and previous research.

f. Research Method

  • Describe the approach, type of research, data collection techniques, and data analysis.

g. Results and Discussion

  • Present key findings with critical analysis linked to relevant theories or prior studies.

h. Conclusion

  • Summarize the main findings and suggest directions for future research.

i. References

  • Use APA Style (7th edition) citation format.

  • Minimum 15 references, with at least 60% from primary sources (journals) published within the last 10 years.

4. Technical Requirements

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)

  • Article length: 4000–7000 words including references

  • Paper size: A4

  • Margins: 3 cm (left), 2.5 cm (right, top, bottom)

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing

5. Manuscript Submission

  • Manuscripts must be submitted via the journal’s Open Journal System (OJS).

  • Authors must register and log in before submitting their manuscript.

6. Publication Ethics

  • Authors are required to comply with the journal’s Publication Ethics guidelines.

  • Manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism using specialized software, with a maximum tolerance of 20%.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
